OUR FLEET
We are very proud of our fleet of Aircraft as they are kept in immaculate condition at all times. Our instructions to our maintenance engineers consist of two words only : “Fix it”.
The importance of aircraft maintenance is often under-estimated and prospective pilots often overlook the importance of inspecting a Flying Schools’ fleet of aircraft before making a decision to train with that particular school.
The bottom-line of the training quote is often indicative of shoddy maintenance as this is the one expense in Aviation that could quite easily be minimised.
We have a ‘no-nonsense’ approach to the upkeep of our fleet and our peace of mind lies in the fact that we know for sure, every one of our students fly aircraft that are in tip-top shape.
We have 5 Cessna 172’s for PPL training and hour-building, a Piper Cherokee 180 for Instrument training and hour-building, a Piper single Comanche for advanced training and a Piper Twin Comanche for multi-engine training.
The latest addition to our fleet, ZS-JVH, (C172) has everyone very excited. Even though she is an old girl (1971 model) she only has 3,700 total hours on her airframe which means she only flew 100 hours per year over the past 37 years. She was imported from the USA earlier in 2008 and sports a brand-new engine and prop. Her interior was completely re-done and in order to keep her in this good condition we are renting her for a slightly higher price than the other C172’s.
