Private Pilot License training
Private Pilot License training is the first step to take on the road to becoming a pilot. Once you have complete a Private Pilot License training course you will have the right to rent the type of Aircraft that you have trained on and fly recreationally.
You may also take passengers flying with you as long as they are not paying passengers. In order to fly for remuneration, you will have to have a Commercial Pilot’s licence (CPL).
Private Pilot License training is the foundation of all future flying training that you will receive. Tackle it with focus, resolve and discipline that will greatly pay off later in your career.
It is of the utmost importance that you must be aware of the fact that flying training is the acquiring of a practical skill.
45 Hours in your logbook alone is not enough to qualify you for a Private Pilot’s License to fly.
Some students complete their Private Pilot License training within 45 hours, others take longer. Remember, your safety is our top priority. Your instructor has to regard you as a safe and competent pilot before he/she will recommend you for your PPL test by the Chief Flying Instructor or his/her assistant.
Another noteworthy factor with regards to hour building for the later commercial license requirement is that it really doesn’t matter if you take longer to complete your PPL. You will need 200 hours total flying time logged in order to test for your CPL anyway, therefore any extra hours flown during your PPL-phase, will still count towards the total required for CPL.
